Bobby Jordan is a consultant with Nichols Strategies. Bobby brings to the firm more than 15 years of journalism, communications, and public relations experience in the nation’s sixth-largest media market. He served as Communications Director and Communications Manager for the Bay Area’s 7th largest district, developing strategic and communication plans for Distance Learning, Reopening for In-Person Instruction, and a five-year vision. He also served as Communications Manager for an educational nonprofit that helped elect all four school board candidates. A former print journalist, Bobby, was privileged to share the stories of student-athletes, elected officials, nonprofit and for-profit executives, and residents making a difference in their communities. Bobby’s reporting helped change local governmental policies, raised millions of dollars for nonprofits, and sent him to Haiti, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.
Bobby’s passion for education stems from watching his mother work as a special education aid and seeing the educational inequities in the system. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Marketing from California State University Northridge and a Masters of Public Administration with an emphasis on policy analysis from California State University East Bay. Bobby resides in Oakland with his wife and two children.
