Erik Harrell is a consultant with Nichols Strategies. He has over a decade of experience in the education field, including legislative advocacy for zero tolerance policy reform while still in high school. Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Howard University. While at Howard, he cofounded a literacy organization with the mission of eradicating illiteracy in the underserved communities in the greater D.C. area. After graduation, his devotion to education led him to serve as site coordinator for the after school program at Rio Tierra Junior High School in Sacramento, California. Here, he got the opportunity to assess, monitor, and instruct the academic progress of a student cohort, plan and implement lessons for daily instruction, as well as directly communicate with school administrators, district administrators, and teachers. Erik is committed to continual educational progress and his passion for learning directly translates to the work he produces for the client, their community, as well as his own community. He is a proud native and resident of Sacramento, California.
