The Napa Valley Unified School District was in the home stretch of an ambitious five-year strategic plan, and a well developed communications infrastructure helped the district tell its story. But the connections between vision and action were demonstrated in subtle ways that some audiences may have missed.
Through weekly meetings, Nichols Strategies provided job-embedded professional development to Napa Valley USD’s Communications staff that focused on enhancing the clarity of their written communications. Our team provided in-the-moment critiques of written materials, including newsletters, website content, and school-to-home communications, to ask key questions about each communication’s purpose and core message.
Through this ongoing process of collaborative coaching, we helped the Napa Valley team connect the dots for their audiences so that the invisible work of the strategic plan could come into sharp focus.
