Rockland BOCES - Nichols Strategies

Rockland BOCES provides educational and professional services to the eight component school districts in Rockland County, N.Y., including communication. To uphold its commitment to best practices in strategic communications, Rockland BOCES’ award-winning Communications Service sought in-depth training in digital accessibility.

Nichols Strategies developed a bespoke, in-depth training for Rockland BOCES’ 20-member Communications team. The in-person session featured hands-on demonstrations of accessibility and communications tools used by the team to support the region’s 37,000+ students.

The Communications team learned key strategies to ensure that the videos, documents and digital content they create for the districts they serve will be accessible to community members with disabilities.
